2016 Toyota RAV 4
The Toyota RAV 4 has always been considered to be one of the most versatile SUV models as it gives a pretty decent performance both on-road and off-road. The 2016 upgrade to this classic Toyota SUV is expected to come with some major changes in its engine configuration so as to make this car the best among the lot for heavy terrain driving. There are also going to be a few subtle changes to the exterior with addition of many more colour choices while the interiors are being revamped to include all the latest features in the infotainment category.

The 5 seater capacity cabin has been made roomier by allowing the back seat to completely fold and flip over making room for extra luggage. While all the seats will be upholstered with faux leather, the front seat will also come with a power drive and separate heating option. Other features in the cabin include rear view camera, blind spot monitors, newly styled airbags and automatic assist for emergency braking, lane departure warning as well as stability and balance control.
On the other hand, the exterior design of the SUV remains much the same as its 2013 model with only a few minor changes such as inclusion of triangular headlights to give it a more aggressive look, a new GPS navigation system and upgraded 17 inch alloy wheels. The SUV will however now be available in more colour choices such as gunmetal grey which lend it a classy look.

The SUV is powered by a 2.5 L capacity 4 cylinder engine with a horse power of 176 along with 172 lb-ft torque. The fuel mileage is approximately 29 mpg on a highway and 22 mpg in the city. Transmission is the standard 6 speed automatic which is the same as the earlier RAV 4 model. However, the major change to watch out for will be the quick acceleration as this car is predicted to accelerate from zero to 50 within 9 seconds. Also, it comes with the option of both two wheel drive and four wheel drive.
2016 Toyota RAV 4 Price and release date
There has been no official press release for the base price of this SUV. However, considering its specifications, it is predicted to cost anywhere between USD 35,000 to USD 45,000. In all probability, the Toyota RAV4 will go on sale in the last couple of months of 2015.
